A Year of Dates: October

Hey! Did you know October is National Pizza Month?!

Because I have a pizza-obsessed husband, this was the perfect month to plan an outing to visit Maxwell's East Coast Eatery in Park City. We first went to Maxwell's during our honeymoon stay in Park City.  We both love their unique toppings and combinations, as well as the fun names given to each of the specialty pies- What About Bob, Italian Stallion, The Godfather...

It was nice to go for a beautiful fall drive and reminisce about our good ole honeymoon days.
(It will be two years next month!!!)

This was a simple "Year of Dates" date, but sometimes simple is our favorite!

TMW Songs and Snapshots

"The Marvelous Wonderettes" has nearly thirty songs.
That was a lot of music to learn in a month and a half.
Luckily, I loved singing each and every song so I didn't mind all the time that went into practicing.
Here is a list of all the musical numbers with some photos to go along!

Meet Missy

Meet Missy!!!

Here is how the audition form described that character that I came to know and love:
Missy is the over-achiever of the group. Very controlled, very concerned that everything at the prom turns out wonderful and perfect. Head of the prom decorations committee; and absolutely smitten with her music teacher. Her best friend is Suzy.
The role of Missy will forever be one of the most memorable roles I've had the opportunity to portray!

ACT 1
*Super Senior Prom 1958*

ACT 2
*10 Year Reunion*

The Marvelous Wonderettes

I love performing and I feel so lucky anytime I can get on stage.
Now, I wish I could say every show I've ever been in was an amazing experience, but that wouldn't quite be the truth.  Although each performing opportunity has always had parts that have been positive, it is not every day that theatre magic happens like it did during my run of
"The Marvelous Wonderettes."
Everything was perfect; The cast, my role, the music, the artistic and production teams, the set, the costumes, the audiences...
This is one show I wish I could relive over and over!

This show was hard work.  There was so much music to learn in a very short amount of time.
I've never rehearsed a show with such dedicated cast mates.
The only way we could have pulled this show off like we did was for everyone to give 110% in and out of rehearsal.

I feel that this photo sums up the friendship that developed over the rehearsal period and performances.
Everyone had each other's back. Always.
These ladies are some of the most talented and kindest people I know!
