Something Beautiful & Sparkly

Look what I got for my birthday...

Isn't it the most beautiful and sparkly thing you've ever seen?

Here's another picture for you because it's just so lovely. *sigh*

Thank you to the sweet guy named Patrick who gave it to me.  I sure love him!

Stay tuned for a post on the whole proposal....

Oh baby, baby!

I love that our family is growing.  Nieces and nephews are just so fun!  Here are a few more pictures from the Montana trip of the most recent additions to the Jensen family.

GRANT
Aren't his chubby cheeks the cutest ever?!

Alfalfa!

Smiles :)
QUINCEY

This girl has the best hair!

Quincey has such a sweet personality.  I can't wait to see her  (+Andy, Cole, and Sterling) again soon.

Montana Trip: Day Four

Sunday, July 22nd:

10am-Church

Lunch-I was in charge, which can only mean one thing...Crepes!

Afternoon activity-Hiking the Falls

Austin at the start of our hike.

I think this pictures captures Jay and Aubrey so perfectly.  Changing diapers on the trail!

Sterling led the group on the hike for much of the way.  It was great motivation  to keep going.  I mean, I couldn't be out hiked by a three year old!

There were stunning views the entire hike.

We made it!

I thought this was such a cute picture of Sterling.  He was so excited to take Andrew's picture.

Aww...beautiful.

Montana Trip: Day Three

Saturday, July 21st:
Breakfast: Senior Citizen's Pancake Breakfast
There was one person I was especially excited to see at the pancake breakfast... Aileen!  When I was 13, I would go to the Senior Citizens Center every Thursday to quilt.  Aileen taught me everything I know!

12pm- Parade (We watch from the church parking lot).

Sterling and the Leishman boys eagerly awaiting the parade and candy!

I love this picture of Aubrey and Grant.

Stuart's float was my favorite!

Cute Quincey.  She is so sweet!

1pm (After parade)-Hang out at Good Old Days Park

The boys entered a watermelon eating contest.  Our neighbor, Billy,  was the winner.

Jay was still at it even after the contest was over.

Montana Trip: Day Two

Friday, July 20th:
Andrew off from work
Breakfast: cereal or other breakfast foods
Activity: Family Pictures

Alyssa Schock took family pictures for us.  Since it is a rare occasion when the whole family is able to get together we felt it was a top priority to have some nice photos taken.  I tried to download my favorites to post on the blog but it was just too hard to choose.  Check out Facebook to see them all.

12pm-Lunch prepared by Cole and Aubrey (delicious tacos!)

3pm-Nanny's Memorial

My mother's mom, Majorie Fournier (aka Nanny), passed away last November.  It would have been difficult to  get everyone together for a funeral at that time so we decided to hold a memorial for her while the family was in Montana.  Mom and Uncle Ken both spoke and shared memories and the family sang musical numbers.  It was sweet and simple.

Here is Nanny and Frenchie's headstone.  We dedicated it after the memorial.

5:30pm-Dinner and hanging out at Good Old Days Park

Aubrey took these pictures of me and Cole playing at the Good Old Days Park.  They make me laugh so hard.  What a fun time!

Montana Trip: Day One

Oh, beautiful Montana!  How I love you!  Especially when I get to enjoy you with the whole, entire Jensen family!

I couldn't decide exactly how I wanted to blog the wonderful time I had while visiting MT.  Then, I came across the itinerary Nicole typed up and mailed to everyone before the trip.  It was so helpful to have a clear idea of what was happening each day.  I thought I would use it as the basis of my post(s) and then add my photos and commentary.  Here it goes!

Thursday, July 19th:
Andrew off from work
Breakfast: cereal or other breakfast foods
Lunch: sandwiches or leftovers
Austin and Mandi arrive (We were the last ones to arrive in Montana).
Dinner: Hot dogs
Activity for the day: Flathead Lake

Austin and I arrived at Flathead Lake just in time for hot dogs.  Everyone else had already been at the lake for several hours boating and playing in the water.

I was so anxious to see Sterling again and meet Quincy for the first time.  Sterling was so cute. He gave me a big hug and  wanted to sit by me.  Yep, we're practically BFFs now. ;)

Andrew took us for a ride in his boat.  It was an excellent way to  start our  stay in Montana.

Austin was the perfect person to make the nine hour drive to MT with.  We left on time, only stopped when we absolutely had to, and we both liked listening to the same music.  Plus, he gave me some lessons in electrical engineering.  Does travelling get any better than that?

Andrew let Dad drive the boat for awhile so he could get in the water and show-off his sweet wakeboarding skills

Austin took a turn, too.  It was only his second time wakeboarding but he  looked like a pro.
