Christmas Day

We had the opportunity to spend lots of time with friends and family over the Christmas weekend.  The Sunday before Christmas, Jay, Aubrey, and Baby G came out to Erda. We had a party to celebrate my mom's birthday and Christmas, since Jay and his crew would be spending the 25th with Aubrey's family.

Christmas Eve was celebrated at Noni and Pete's.  It was a lively time filled with amazing food and gifts galore! Would you expect anything less?!

Christmas morning all Patrick and I wanted was to sleep-in since we never seem to get the chance.  Once we finally decided to get up, we made crepes (of course!) and then opened our gifts from each other and the presents from Patrick's parents. (We love our robes! Thank you!)

We headed out to Erda in time for lunch with my parents, Austin, and Garrett.  It was a quiter than usual Christmas but wonderful nonetheless.

Dad and Mom busy baking mincemeat cookies.

Garrett and the much coveted glass corn.

Austin sporting a mustache and modeling his new snowboarding gear.
Snow was just what we needed to make it the perfect Christmas day!

The Yoga Kids

Once a month I teach a kids' yoga class.  I look forward to this class so much!  The kids are eager learners, hard workers, and super fun.  One of our favorite things to do is make up poses in the shape of alphabet letters.

I can't wait for the day when I have a studio of my own so I can teach all the time!

The Christmas Cubby

In case you haven't heard, I love our little apartment!  It is cute and cozy and no longer looks like a man cave!  We are still trying to find spots to store everything and I have some more decorating to do, but it already feels like home.  I get excited every time I walk through the door.

One of my favorite details of the apartment is the living room wall's built-in cubby.  Originally, it housed Patrick's globe but then I moved in and filled it with items and a photo from our reception. Most recently, we turned it into a Christmas Cubby.

We found a small tree that fit just right!

I was soooo excited to start some traditions.  Each year we are going to add a new ornament with a recent photo and the year. How cool will that be when we are 80 years old and have a tree full of photos and memories?!

This globe was a wedding gift from a dear friend.  It was our very first Christmas decoration.  The combination of the beautiful wedding photo and the glitter is pretty magical. :)

We got so spoiled from our wedding.  And now we got spoiled again!  Here's the Christmas loot!
We are so grateful for everyone who wants to make sure we are happy and comfortable as newlyweds.

I got a new camera from Patrick and I couldn't be happier.  My old camera and I shared plenty of good times together but it sadly had seen better days. I can't wait to try out the new camera.  Here's to new and improved photos of all of our adventures!
